Today was a chilling-outside-with-the-kids-day! On days like those I love to reveal my playful fun side in both my personality and clothes. Comfort is key. In this ensemble I’m letting my inner child run free in a care bears tee that I recently picked up from Uniqlo whilst in London. As a child I was a massive Care Bears fan so as soon as I spotted this t shirt I snapped it up. So who else was a care bears fan?
T – Shirt – Uniqlo
Skirt – H&M
Boots – Topshop
I teamed it with a floral skirt and peep toe ankle boots. This outfit may not be the height of fashion but it’s fun and shouldn’t style be fun?
Today has been such a gloriously warm day. The UK really is in the midst of summer weather now. So today I decided to rock a playsuit with these amazing shoes I picked up while in London. They’re higher than i’m used to and I feel a little self conscious in them as they take my height over 6foot but I soldiered through and wore them anyway. I really adore high heeled platform shoes and I intend to wear them more often and push all my self doubt to the side. While wearing them I just tried to think about how many women wish they had my height (that helped a little). So what do you think of this look guys? Should I ignore my height fears and wear platforms more often?
Playsuit – Present
Shoes – Chinatown
Socks – From Japan
Watch Necklace – River Island
Bow Earrings – Present
Headband – River Island
As my FTF community post was so popular and well received I think that from now on I’m going to share a lot more of my life with you guys. The thing I enjoy doing most is spending time out with the kids. You’ll never see any photos on here that show my kids faces as I value their privacy above all else but I will share more of what we get up to.
Yesterday was a gloriously sunny day so we ventured over to Willen Lake which is one of our favourite places to go when the weather is nice. It’s located within easy distance of our house and as well as a lake there is a pub, park, ducks to feed and the ever awe inspiring peace pagoda which is a functioning Buddhist temple. It’s so relaxing there and no matter how stressed I am it always chills me out.
This is a collection of photos from the afternoon as well as some outfit pictures from a few days ago. The outfit is mostly thrifted (DKNY Jeans and a simple knit) both items came to a grand total of £14. So sit back, grab a cup of tea (or coffee) and relax. That is the best way to read blogs in my opinion.
